Assassin's Apprentice - Robin Hobb

Unlike so many other books I read, this was not an arbitrary choice. I read this because it was recommended to me. I believe the recommendation was something along the lines of "first-person fantasy done right."

Well... yes.

It's the first of a trilogy, and it would feel odd talking about it in too much detail before having read the next ones. For now, the fact that I fully intend to read the next ones should say a lot.
